Platform Overview
Pigeon Perch is a data-first email marketing platform. While other tools focus on sending, Pigeon Perch focuses on understanding your audience so that every message you send is targeted and personal. Here's how the pieces fit together:
Data Collection and Intelligence
- Contacts: your audience. Each contact has profile data, engagement scores, tags, SMS consent, and auto-enriched location information.
- Web Tracking: a lightweight JavaScript snippet that connects website activity to contact profiles. Every page view, product browse, and form submission becomes a data point.
- Location Intelligence: behavioral location scoring that tracks where contacts are interested, not just where they are. Weighted signals from listing views, searches, and form submissions, with time decay and geographic clustering.
- Contact Identification: identify website visitors in real time by decrypting the tracking token from email click-throughs. Personalize your site experience based on who's browsing.
- Data Backfill: import historical engagement data from your previous platform with original timestamps. Decay calculations, analytics, and segments work from day one.
Messaging and Campaigns
